adnaan

story time

okay, story time!

I’m the youngest sibling in my family and my family probably were tired of finding unique names like muzakkir, tanzila (my siblings) and wanted to be cutesy, my father adored this one family friend’s boy who was also named adnaan and apparently that played a role, maybe this is false I don’t know, maybe I’m just making all of this up so go along because you don’t have a choice, unless you want to stop reading, fair!

my name translates to a wise old man and that sort of rings true because my friends have told me that I’m already in my late 30s (they’re in their thirties too), all of this is sort of based on numerous micro transactions leading to sweeping generalisations.

speaking of which, the story about the world seems to be similar in that way, there are sweeping generalisations by people who are the loud enough to spread a version of the truth and some of them are packaged down into truths that are deemed worthy of being called truths.

I see the world as an endless incoherent mess where finding truths is a process of discovering that everything is a russian doll at the end of the day, it gets exhausting because the descent of you discovering truths is also not very quantitative and you could just be wandering about, (btw none of this is a complaint).

anik was showing me this illustration of dancing landscapes today, in which there problem was to find a peak global maxima, I’m gonna transpose that here as finding the absolute truth in this argument and talk more about it.

Seeking truth is weird because seeking truth it in itself is counter intuitive, you’re seeking something from your bias ridden organic thonk machine so maybe seeking truth looks different than gathering knowledge, maybe it means getting rid of your biases.

That poses another problem because the frameworks through which you seek truths cannot be disposed that easily, so in undoing your biases there needs to be care and deliberation.

I guess that’s just how I see things, similar to the ramblings of the world, here are my ramblings of incoherent ideological fallacies.
